Artists are tolerated when they are complacent, and their product is enjoyed when it appeals to the masses. An artist who disrupts becomes dangerous. When art questions power instead of serving it, when it exposes hypocrisy instead of decorating it, art can be a tool to alter perspectives and build communities. “Bite Back” serves to amplify creative risk-takers, disruptors, and the artists that bite the hand that never feeds.
